Daily 5: Read to Someone

We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Read to Someone!

We brainstormed what students should be doing during Daily 5.

We brainstormed what the teacher should be doing during Daily 5.

We learned the 3 ways to read during Read to Someone: "Check for Understanding;" "I Read, You Read;" and "Read 2 Different Books."  Ask your child to explain what each one means!

We learned how to sit EEKK style!  Ask your child what that means!

We learned how to choose a spot in the room.

We learned how to choose who gets to read his/her book first by "Making a Deal" and "Rock, Paper, Scissors."  Ask your child to explain!

We also learned how to choose a partner.  Ask your child how to do this!

We love to build our stamina every day!
