Map Skills

 We learned all about map skills!  This is a globe, a round model of the Earth.

 We read Me on the Map by Joan Sweeney and made Me on the Map books.

 We drew a compass rose on our map.  We learned that a map is a flat drawing.

 We looked at a map of the world and found our continent, North America, and country, United States of America.

 We located our state of Virginia on the map.

 We found Richmond City and Chesterfield County on the map.  We also learned that maps have symbols such as stars for capitals on them.

 We found our street on the map.

We located our house on the map. 

Last, we drew ourselves in our bedrooms on the map!
